It's not often the team get to swap their boots for suits but Saturday gave us the chance when we frocked up and headed off to the industry's night of nights, the annual Landscape Queensland Construction Excellence Awards.
The team arrived at the office all glammed up and I must say, for a bunch of landscapers we scrub up alright! A special occasion like this, calls for a special ride and the team piled into the stretch hummer bound for the city lights. With smiles on and glasses raised we toasted to the year that was and the night that was ahead of us.
A quick stop at the Kangaroo Point cliffs for some happy snaps then onto the Hilton for the formal proceedings.
The awards night saw 10 of our amazing team's projects listed as finalists, a great achievement. We were unfortunate to miss out on the win but we walked away with a Highly Commended for the second year in a row for our Maintenance work at the University of Queensland.
It's great to be acknowledged at events as prestigious as these awards and am extremely proud of our entire team for all their passion, hard work and commitment over the past year.
Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people.
