The Push For Better Foundation runs The Push-Up Challenge and aims to raise awareness, engage and educate people and raise funds for mental health.
Our Impact
In just six years, The Push-Up Challenge has transformed into the largest mental health and fitness event in Australia.
We've raised over $26million for mental health services, with over 300,000 people pushing for better mental health and completing more than 600 million push-ups.
Push for Better Foundation
Push for Better Foundation exists to bring people together to push for better mental health and proudly runs The Push-Up Challenge event.
We believe education is the single most important tool for breaking down the stigma and fostering open conversations about mental health.
Funds raised for Push for Better Foundation are used to:
- Raise awareness, engage and educate people in mental health through running the event;
- Ensure the Foundation can continue to operate and run The Push-Up Challenge in future years;
- Equip Student Ambassadors across Australia with the tools and resources needed to encourage their schools and local community to get fit and learn about mental health by joining in The Push-Up Challenge; and
- Fund and/or developing new initiatives to address existing gaps in mental health promotion and service provision.
Lifeline
Every 30 seconds, a person in Australia reaches out to Lifeline for help. For 60 years, Lifeline has been connecting with Australians in need through crisis support and suicide prevention services.
Lifeline exists to ensure that no person in Australia has to face their darkest moments alone.
Lifeline is available 24 hours a day to listen, without judgement, to any person in Australia who is feeling overwhelmed, experiencing crisis or longs to be heard.
Lifeline provides opportunities for connection via digital and face-to-face suicide prevention crisis support services with a network of 41 centres, 10,000 volunteers including 4,500 Crisis Supporters and 1,000 employees.
Your donation through The Push-Up Challenge will ensure Lifeline’s critical support services are accessible to anyone who needs them – anytime, anywhere.
