Meet Amelia, a vital member of our Landscape Design team here at Brooke’s Blooms. Amelia's journey in landscape design is not just about shaping outdoor spaces but is deeply rooted in her love for nature, her practice and teaching of Qigong, and her keen observation of plants.
With nearly two decades of experience under her belt, Amelia's journey began with a passion for plants and a desire to understand their place in our surroundings. Mentored by some of the industry's great designers, she has cultivated a diverse palette of plants and developed her unique style along the way.
Originally from Brisbane, Amelia's path has taken her across different landscapes, from the tropical beauty of Port Douglas to the lush greenery of Vancouver and the dynamic urban environments of Melbourne. Each experience has added depth to her understanding of landscape design and its impact on people's lives.
Amelia's journey into landscape design wasn't a straight path. Initially studying Landscape Architecture, she later shifted her focus to Horticulture to forge a deeper connection with plants. Life's unexpected turns led her to gain invaluable experiences in residential design, shaping outdoor spaces that harmonize with nature and enrich the lives of those who inhabit them.
When asked about her most enjoyed aspect of landscape design, Amelia's eyes light up with enthusiasm. For her, it's the process of working out a tricky design and reaching that magical moment when everything falls into place.
