Clay House Project // Behind the scenes

Clay House is the epitome of a dream home, capturing the hearts of all who lay eyes upon it.

This timeless abode, originally constructed in the 1890s, has been lovingly transformed into a masterpiece of contemporary design, courtesy of the talented team at Bass Architecture and Mojo Construction.

The front facade of the home remains an exquisite relic of bygone days, while the rear of the property has been transformed into a stunning new living space. The landscape design and construction, entrusted to the skilled hands of Brooke’s Blooms, has been executed with a remarkable attention to detail, capturing the essence of the iconic New Farm cottage style.

Stepping in from the street, one can't help but be transported back in time, as the nostalgia and allure of the property beckons. A simple yet tasteful arrangement of Lavender and a magnificent Tabebuia palmerii, the hallmark of the New Farm district, adorn the front garden, evoking a sense of tranquillity and sophistication.

The backyard oasis boasts the much-beloved Plungie pool, elegantly taking centre stage in the modest space, surrounded by a tasteful array of flora that provides warmth and shade.

Our personal favourite, the rooftop terrace, exudes a Mediterranean ambience, replete with olive trees, citrus trees, and herbs - perfect for a slow Sunday afternoon spent indulging in a barbecue with a refreshing cocktail in hand, enhanced by the fragrance of fresh mint for the ultimate mojito experience.

We invite you to join us in delighting in the awe-inspiring Clay House, and to share in the enchanting memories that this charming property has to offer.
